future correspondence

By doing the Web 2.0 program I am hoping to learn to use all the different ways of communicating on the internet which I will be able to use in the course of running a library.
Lifelong learning is an understatement. Life is an every day learning curve at home, at work and within our community. I believe that one never stops learning whether it be in a class situation, at your work place of just general day to day living situations.
I haven't discovered many other blogs as yet except for the examples in this weeks lesson. I will investigate further over the next few days.
I can see that blogs will be useful in the Library. They can be used to advertise special events or collections or activities that will and are occuring at the Library.
Specific client audiences will also benefit as one will be able to set up a unique blog for a certain clientele eg, Young Adult or retirees.

If you want to search for other blogs on specific topics you can go to google and refine your search to blogs only by clicking on the more option in the top line and selecting blogs. I have set up a google alerts for new blogs on a couple of topics I'm really interested in.
